The Government Street Grocery opened in April 2005 with a simple idea: good food, live music, cold beer, and a place where everyone felt welcome. What began as Patrick Sullivan’s dream, inspired by his mother and brought to life with the help of his father, quickly became something much bigger: a gathering place for Ocean Springs.

 

Over the last 20 years, we’ve served what feels like a million burgers, poured plenty of cold beers, hosted countless bands, and made more memories than we could ever fit on these walls. None of it would have been possible without the staff members, musicians, artists, regulars, visitors, and friends who have made The Grocery their own.
